How many times we want to leave behind the daily routine of Athens take our bicycle and do bike in the close streets of Athens until we get tired and can't do anymore.For this reason every first Monday of the month at 7 mm,there is the Critical Mass Ride, a great bike ride starting at Syntagma Square (www.podilates.gr). Also, every Friday at 9.30 mm, get ready for Freeday cycling tours that start form the Square Assomaton in Thissio.

Holly Mustache vintage bazaar

My last saturday night out didn't only include bars,walks in Athens,food,drinks but also a visit to the HOLLY ROOM in Psiri(Pallados 21,on the second floor) to see the new collection of Holly Mustache with vintage stuff of course..The prices were very good and there were a variety of vintage clothes,sunglasses,jewelry,bags and other items.Take a look on the photos bellow to check if they suit to your personal style ;)

A different swap..

"Don't throw away anything exchange it" is the moto of this event that organize the counseling center "Sinergazomai".We bring clothes and objects that we don't want anymore and we swap them with other stuff for free...Other teams like Pire-A-ctive, Seedreams, Swap not Shop will support this event.There will also be music by the mindradio ,a catwalk with clothes from the event and drinks from Lipton.Clothes and items that they would not be exchanged will be given to organizations and departments that they need them.

Strawberry fields forever...

From the previous week I was thinking what post to make to present you my favorite and Leto's also favorite band ever..So I decided to upload in my opinion their best song to give you a taste of the band that achieved to make everyone knows them from 60's and after...I talk about BEATLES of course!


P.S.The song was written by John Lennon and attributed to the Lennon/McCartney songwriting partnership. It was inspired by Lennon's memories of playing in the garden of a Salvation Army house named "Strawberry Field" near his childhood home.

Spring brings everything...

Every year when the spring begins I have to confess that I'm fucking happy!I don't know exactly why but there are so many things that they are going to start that I cant wait..First of all I love the sunny days in Athens combining them with long walks with my friends making me wanna stay outside all the time.The countdown until the final exams in school is also a good reason to be happy.In addition the markets are full of spring fruits like strawberries,cherries,apricots,medlars..The spring clothes,shoes and accessories are so ethereal and full of colors that make me love the spring even more.Finally the biggest reason that I adore the spring is that summer approaches as therefore and the summer vacations.

Saturday nights in Athens..

Every time is unique every time there is a new place every time there is a new treasure for us to explore. This is why I love Athens. There are other times that I hate this ugly city because there are so many choices and I’m unable to choose. But I have so many good memories from every single place in Athens from "Glyfada" to "Exarheia". Walking drunk around Athens trying to reach the closest metro station without fainting. It sounds awful but it isn't for me. This is my life and it's not about alcohol it's about joy and happiness and friendship. I must admit I have changed so much since last year and my friends too. The places we like to visit now are so different from the places we liked once and that’s why Athens have so many different places that you are able to visit. In every region there are places for all tastes so everyone are satisfied.

Start wearing purple because Rockwave is coming

At last ,rockwave's line up is announced.I've waited for so long.The news are great "Gogol Bordello" will be back in Greece to make us dance with the "American Wedding" and sing as loud as we can the "Wonderlust King".Many other names will be on stage like the English band "The Stranglers" the American stoner rock bands "Monster Magnet" and "Kyuss Lives" the unique Irish-American Celtic band "Flogging Molly" and the Alternative band from England "Therapy?".Also one of the drummers of "Ramones" (love them) with his band "Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg" will be there to give us a taste of the Ramones.On the list are also two more bands from America named "Cake" and "Viza" and the band "Dept".Of course rockwave festival will host many greek artists and bands like the very talented "Aggelakas" and "Psaradonis" and many others.I must admit that rockwave this year lacks of big names but the good part is that the prices of the tickets are very low this year.As you can see from the poster the minimum price is 12 euros (i suppose if you buy it on the presale) to 28 euros.Although im not sure yet about the prices because the site of rockwave lacks of information...

This song is one of my favourites and it is also a very sad song.Smiths are a band that changed the way I was thinking ,the way I was acting . They taught me so many things that I was unable to understand before.When Im thinking of love a melody like this comes in my mind ..It is so full of emotions.
It's sad though that many people learned about Smiths from the movie "500 Days Of Summer" (a film that I totally recommend you)but I want to say to these people that Smiths have more songs that the one in the film and you should totally give it a try.
Enough with my silly monologue,enjoy this great song.

Wasted Youth

I's about one month that we discovered this new film that was represented our country to the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.The name of the movie is Wasted youth and the director of the film is Argiris Papadopoulos.The content of the film is the below:
Summer in Athens. The heat wave hits the city. A teenage skateboarder starts on a typical day with friends. A middle-aged working hard for the survival of his family with a job they hate, and an impending nervous breakdown. This is a portrait of Athens.
A film about a city and a society in crisis.
The film comes to the cinemas March 17.I hope you'll enjoy it like us.
